Bom dia!
Na quarta feira a noite nós chegamos em Recife, a capital do estado de Pernambuco, depois de uma longa viagem. No dia seguinte de manhã, nós visitamos a cidade histórica de Olinda, que fica ao lado de Recife, onde os estudantes conheceram a Catedral da Sé, puderam comprar artesanato e viram um show de Frevo - alguns até aprenderam alguns passos da dança!
Na parte da tarde, nós fomos ao Instituto Ricardo Brennand e conhecemos o castelo que abriga a sua coleção de armas brancas e de obras de arte. É lindo, os intercambistas adoraram. No fim da tarde, fomos para o segundo maior shopping do Brasil, para que pudéssemos jantar, ir ao banco e fazer algumas comprinhas!
Ontem nós passamos o dia na maravilhosa praia de Porto de Galinhas, uma das praias mais lindas do Nordeste! Todos ficaram maravilhados com a beleza dessa cidade. Depois de passar o dia todo na praia, voltamos para o hotel, jantamos e tivemos o nosso tão esperado Show de Talentos!
O Show de Talentos foi o maior sucesso! Foram 14 apresentações, cada uma mais criativa e engraçada que a outra. Todos se divertiram muito, foi uma verdadeira FESTA!
Agora nós iremos para Natal, ainda tem muita viagem pela frente! Mando mais notícias de lá!

Good Evening!
On Wednesday we arived in Recife, the city capital of Pernambuco state, after a long trip. Yesterday morning, we visited the historical city of Olinda which is right beside Recife. The students visited the Cathedral of Olinda, they had a chance to buy souvenirs and watched a Frevo show (Frevo is a typical rithym and dance of Pernambuco). Some students even learned some steps of Frevo!
In the afternoon, we went to Ricardo Brennand’s Institute and visited the castle where his collection of arms and art are displayed. It’s beautiful and the exchange students loved it! After that, we went to Recife Shopping, the second largest mall in Brazil, so we could have dinner, go to the bank and do some shopping!
Yesterday we spent the day in the wonderful beach of Porto de Galinhas, one of the prettiest ones of the Northeast. After spending the day at the beach, we went back to the hotel and had our Talent Show!
The Talent Show was a huge success! There were 14 very funny and creative presentations. Everybody had a lot of fun, it was like a party!
This afternoon we will leave to Natal, we still have a lot to do and to know! I will send more news from there!
